Aissa Mandi scored late on to secure a point for struggling Reims in a 1-1 draw with St Etienne.
After a goalless first half Les Verts took the lead when Jean-Christophe Bahebeck controlled Alexander Soderlund's knock-down before drilling the ball past Johny Placide for his second goal in as many games.
As full-time loomed, though, the hosts salvaged a point when Jaba Kankava's hopeful cross into the box was prodded home at the back post by Mandi.
Reims are left searching for their first win in 2016 but a point was enough to lift them clear of the bottom three.
