US Sassuolo Calcio 0 - 2 Bologna: Sassuolo's unbeaten home record ended by Bologna
Posted Monday, January 25, 2016 by PA
Bologna condemned their local rivals Sassuolo to a first home defeat of the season by winning 2-0 at the Mapei Stadium.
The Neroverdi are in the race for Europe thanks largely to their resilience in Reggio Emilia but Emanuele Giaccherini's 68th-minute opener meant they risked losing at home for the first time.
Their former striker Sergio Floccari - sold to Bologna two weeks ago - returned to confirm those fears by emerging from the bench to grab a second Rossoblu goal in the third minute of stoppage time.
Sassuolo drop one place into seventh while resurgent Bologna climbed to 12th.
