Guingamp 1 - 0 Bastia: Thibault Giresse effort enough as Guingamp defeat nine-man Bastia

Thibaut Giresse scored an injury-time penalty as Guingamp moved out of the bottom three with a 1-0 win against nine-man Bastia.

Following a largely uneventful opening 45 minutes, the hosts almost netted shortly after the restart when Thibault Giresse crashed an effort against the bar before Mevlut Erding also found the woodwork from Nicolas Benezet's pass.

Then Bastia were reduced to nine men when Floyd Ayite was shown a straight red for a nasty looking challenge on Giresse before Cahuzac was given his marching orders for man-handling the referee.

And Guingamp stole the points in added time Jimmy Briand went down under a challenge from Julien Palmieri and Giresse netted the resulting spot-kick.
