Montpellier 1 - 2 Caen: Caen come from behind to beat Montpellier in rare Ligue 1 success

Posted Sunday, January 24, 2016 by PA

Caen came from behind to secure their first league victory since November with a 2-1 win aginst struggling Montpellier.

Despite taking the lead on 23 minutes when Alaeddine Yahia failed to deal with Ryad Boudebouz's corner before Ramy Bensebaini netted, La Pallaide found themselves trailing from goals either side of the break.

Firstly, Ronny Rodelin levelled on 39 minutes with a powerful back-post volley before Andy Delort turned the game on its head just after the restart, controlling Emmanuel Imorou's delivery before beating Laurent Pionnier.

The hosts almost levelled late on when the ball fell to Souleymane Camara inside the area but his effort was superbly kept out by Remy Vercoutre.
