Notts County 0 - 2 AFC Wimbledon: AFC Wimbledon maintain impressive away form with win at Notts County

AFC Wimbledon's remarkable run of form away from home continued as a Tom Elliott stunner and an Andy Barcham strike sealed a 2-0 win at Notts County in Sky Bet League Two.

The Dons had to survive an early scare at Meadow Lane as a Blair Adams header was denied by the post from Wes Atkinson's cross.

But in the ninth minute the visitors put themselves ahead as Elliott found the top corner with a stunning strike from outside of the box.

Notts tried desperately to get themselves back on level terms and Izale McLeod missed a good chance early in the second half.

The Dons then hit the woodwork themselves when Lyle Taylor flicked into the path of Barcham, who crashed a shot against the bar.

Boss Neal Ardley would have wondered whether they would rue such a miss, but Barcham made amends when he doubled their lead from just inside the box on 83 minutes.

Notts threw everything forward in a bid to get a result, but the Dons comfortably held out to make it eight games unbeaten away from home.
