Arsenal and Liverpool have been halted in their chase to sign Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams after he penned a new contract, Express reports.
The 21-year-old was being tracked by the Premier League duo during the current window, but has now seen his previous £15.2m release clause increased to £38.1m.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was already scouting his displays, with representatives from the London club in attendance when scored in the 1-0 win over Villarreal last week.
His new deal will see him remain with the Basque side until at least the summer of 2021, while any interested sides will now need to table a huge offer in order to open negotiations with the winger.
Williams is considered the fastest player in the La Liga following his clocked speed of 22.2 miles per hour when he featured against Deportivo la Coruna back in May.
Williams has already featured 24 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score 10 goals while providing another three assists.
