Preston North End vs Brentford - No Preston debut for Liam Grimshaw

New signing Liam Grimshaw will not make his Preston debut against Brentford.

The midfielder moved from Manchester United to North End on Monday, yet will have to wait for his debut because he has had an operation on his knee since completing the switch.

Both captain Tom Clarke (groin) and winger Adam Reach (knee) are also doubtful for Simon Grayson's squad.

The trio of Jermaine Beckford, Stevie May (both knee) and Chris Humphrey (shin) are all still sidelined.

James Tarkowski will not be part of the Brentford squad after refusing to play against Burnley last week.

The defender has been disciplined by the Bees after pulling out of last Friday's clash against the club who want to sign him this month.

Striker Scott Hogan is back in training after a long spell out recovering from cruciate ligament damage but he remains some way off a return.

Defender Andreas Bjelland is still out with his long-term knee injury.
