Pochettino backs Tottenham to fight on all fronts

Mauricio Pochettino has backed his Tottenham squad to compete in all competitions after progressing into the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Spurs beat Leicester City 2-0 in a third round replay on Wednesday thanks to goals from Son Heung-min and Nacer Chadli at the King Power Stadium.

The result leaves Pochettino’s men fighting on three fronts given they are still in the Europa League and involved in what he considers to be a wide open Premier League title race.

However, the former Southampton boss insists his side have the character and quality to chase all three.

“We are having a fantastic season, we are at a fantastic level,” he told reporters.

"It is difficult to be fair to players but there is fantastic spirit in the changing room and in the training ground.

"The FA Cup is an important competition for us and we showed we have a squad that is good enough to compete in every competition.

"We have also the Premier League and Europa League and I think it is very important to keep the squad fit and working hard.”

Spurs will travel to League One struggles Colchester in the fourth round of the FA Cup before resuming their Europa League campaign against Serie A side Fiorentina next month.
