Arsenal transfer rumours and news round-up: Gunners ready to sign Ceballos, Eboue would love to join

Arsenal will be hoping to get back to winning ways this coming weekend in the Premier League, but it will not be easy when they play host to rivals Chelsea.

While the Blues have struggled for form this season, Guus Hiddink’s men will still pose a problem for Arsene Wenger’s side and the Gunners will have to be on their best performance.

With plenty to discuss, here is a round-up of everything surrounding the Emirates on Tuesday.

Arsenal are lining up a move for Real Betis’ highly-rated youngster Dani Ceballos. The 19-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to England in recent months, but it is the Gunners who are now moving in and Arsene Wenger wants a deal done for the summer. Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue has said that he would relish a return to the Emirates in the near future, after the defender was released by Galatasaray in 2015. After spending the last year of his time in Turkey playing for the Under-21 side, Eboue is keen to get back on the path to glory and the 32-year-old admits he would love a return to the Emirates. Arsenal have confirmed that defender Nacho Monreal has signed a new contract with the club, thus ending speculation of a potential move away. The 29-year-old joined the club from Malaga in 2013 and has been a crucial player for them over the last three seasons. Monreal has won 38/76 tackles in the league this season. Borussia Monchengladbach’s highly-rated midfielder Granit Xhaka has dropped a hint he could leave the club in the future. The 23-year-old Switzerland international has spoken about his desire to move to a “top, top, top club” and Arsenal have been put on red alert as a result. Xhaka has won 27/74 tackles in the league this season. (Bild, via the Independent)
