Reading vs Huddersfield Town - Quartet could miss out for Reading

Reading have injury doubts over Jordan Obita, Paul McShane, Michael Hector and Aaron Tshibola ahead of the FA Cup replay against Huddersfield.

Full-back Obita is due back in training following a month out with a knee injury suffered in training, but the clash will probably come too soon.

McShane is struggling with a calf problem, fellow centre-half Hector missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat at MK Dons due to a knock and midfielder Tshibola has a hamstring injury.

Boss Brian McDermott is therefore likely to pick from an unchanged squad as the Royals chase a first win in four matches.

Huddersfield midfielder Dean Whitehead is hoping to be included in the squad after being sidelined since early December.

Whitehead, who has missed the last nine matches due to a knee injury, could return to action but on-loan goalkeeper Jed Steer will not feature.

Steer does not have permission from parent club Aston Villa to play in the competition so Joe Murphy will step in.

Forward Sean Scannell and midfielder Kyle Dempsey (both knee) will be monitored after missing Saturday's 1-1 home draw against Fulham, while defenders Joel Lynch and Jason Davidson are among those pushing for recalls.
