Luis Enrique: "Athletic thrashed us and stopped us lifting six titles"

Luis Enrique talked to the press ahead of Barcelona's game against Athletic Bilbao.

On Athletic: "I'm expecting a very intense game with both sides giving little ground. We know each other really well and it'll be tough for us both. The players know exactly what type of game they face".On Arda and Aleix: "I'm not surprised because they've been training with us for months. What is surprising is how easily they've overcome those months without playing. Arda's ideal position is in central midfield".

On new signings: "The club knows what we need, but it's all down to a price and that price has to be a reasonable one. If we don't sign anyone we'll continue as we are".

On being motivated to beat Athletic: "They're one of the few sides to have thrashed us, plus they prevented us from lifting a sixth trophy".

On the fixtures calendar: "This January is going to lead into an amazing February. We're heading into the final third of the season where the magic happens. Our calendar is huge motivation for us".

On Neymar: "I'm going to advise Neymar that he continue enjoying his football. Nobody should be surprised by his dribbling runs. He isn't being offensive. People can no longer use being nutmegged or chipped by Neymar as an excuse. That's how he plays. It's up to everyone to stop him as best they can and we have referees to judge their methods".
