Stranraer will have 18-year-old Max Currie on goalkeeping duty when Peterhead visit as David McGurn remains out with a foot injury.

Lee Mair (groin) and Chris Aitken (calf) are also absent with manager Brian Reid looking for his men to get back to winning ways after losing 3-0 to Celtic in the Scottish Cup last weekend.

Reid said: "The Celtic game brought a lot of attention and this weekend we will be back to normal. We cannot afford a hangover as we need points to climb the table.

"Before we played Celtic, we defeated Stenhousemuir and Ayr United and I am looking for that winning form to return."

Peterhead make the long trip south missing only Nathan Blockley, who has a knee injury, and manager Jim McInally looking for his side to consolidate in the top four.

McInally said: "We have been on a good run of form and results and are looking for that to continue.

"We have moved into third place however we need a good number of more wins before we can talk about play-off football.

"Despite the result Stranraer did themselves proud against Celtic and looked like the side they were last season. It will be a tough game if they play like that again but one that we can win."
