Stenhousemuir vs Brechin City - Jason Scotland could make Stenhousemuir return

Stenhousemuir hope to have striker Jason Scotland available after a hamstring injury when they face bottom-of-the-table Brechin.

The Warriors have lost on-loan goalkeeper Matty Gould, who is back at Livingston, while Harry Monaghan has joined Derry City at the end of his short-term deal.

Discussions to bring in former Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper Rab Douglas are ongoing with Jamie Barclay set to stay between the sticks with manager Brown Ferguson saying: "Brechin will be fighting for everything but I want us to get the win that will see us start heading for a top-four place again.

"Our level of performance has to be right to get anything."

Brechin's summer signing Dene Shields is playing his last game before returning to Malta where he played for five years before joining the Glebe Park men.

Dunfermline's Lewis Spence has arrived on loan but Isaac Layne has returned to Alloa, Jonathan Tiffoney is suspended and Ross Perry remains out with a knee injury.

Player-manager Darren Dods said: "We lost our last game at Ayr but confidence remains high. We managed to get off bottom spot last month, however we slipped back and need to get motoring again.

"Stenhousemuir are strong at home but we need to take control of things by winning games and we can win this one."
