Hull City vs Charlton Athletic - Steve Bruce unlikely to change Hull side for Charlton clash

Hull boss Steve Bruce is expected to select from an unchanged squad for the home game against Charlton.

Bruce has no major new injury or suspension worries following Wednesday night's 2-0 home win against Cardiff, which lifted them up to second in the table.

Striker Adama Diomande remains sidelined due to a groin injury, while Bruce will soon be boosted by the return of defenders Michael Dawson (knee) and Alex Bruce (back).

Dawson has been out since mid-November and Bruce since early December but both are expected back in contention by the end of the month.

New Charlton head coach Jose Riga hopes to have Jordan Cousins and Igor Vetokele available for his first fixture back in charge.

The Belgian was on Thursday reappointed to the relegation-threatened club he left at the end of the 2013/14 season, and will need to inspire them to survival amid several injury problems.

The talented Cousins missed Tuesday's 5-0 defeat at Huddersfield after picking up a knee injury last week against Colchester, but after treatment could be available.

Vetokele also missed out against Huddersfield while he was completing his rehabilitation, but Ademola Lookman (hamstring), Patrick Bauer (groin), Alou Diarra (foot) and Ahmed Kashi (Achilles) remain sidelined.
