Morecambe vs Exeter City - Morecambe without Peter Murphy for Exeter game

Morecambe will be without their skipper Peter Murphy for Exeter's trip to the Globe Arena.

The midfielder, who suffered a serious knee injury on his debut against Hartlepool back in August, has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign after suffering ligament damage.

The Shrimps are in good shape elsewhere, though, with Andy Fleming and Tom Barkhuizen both returning from minor problems during the busy festive period.

Alan Goodall replaced Murphy when he came off against Wycombe and is in line to come back into the starting line-up.

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale will assess the effects of his side's FA Cup third round draw with Liverpool before finalising his selection.

The Grecians held Liverpool 2-2 on a difficult St James Park pitch last Friday and Tisdale could make the odd change to freshen up matters after four straight league defeats.

But David Wheeler (foot) and Ryan Harley (hip) remain out and Tisdale says there is no chance of them making the Anfield cup replay next week.

Danny Butterfield, Jamie McAllister and Will Hoskins could all feature at Morecambe after recent knocks.
