Blackburn Rovers vs Queens Park Rangers - Elliott Bennett could make his Blackburn bow against QPR

Elliott Bennett is in line to make his Blackburn debut against QPR at Ewood Park.

The winger signed from Norwich last week but has had to wait to make his bow after Saturday's FA Cup clash at Newport was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Marcus Olsson returned to training on Sunday following a bout of illness but boss Paul Lambert is set to be without Nathan Delfouneso (knee), Danny Guthrie and Fode Koita (both hamstring).

Jason Lowe (foot) is a long-term injury absentee while central defender Matt Kilgallon needs a scan on a troublesome hip.

QPR will check on goalkeeper Rob Green, who missed the FA Cup defeat at Nottingham Forest through illness.

Back-up keeper Alex Smithies was also unavailable due to an elbow injury, so 20-year-old Joe Lumley was drafted in for his debut at the City Ground.

Striker Charlie Austin is edging closer to a return after a hamstring injury, while Paul Konchesky, Karl Henry and Matt Phillips could return after sitting out at the weekend.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is still looking for his first win as Rangers manager after seven games in charge.
