Derby County vs Reading - George Thorne doubt for Derby
Posted Monday, January 11, 2016 by PA
Derby midfielder George Thorne is a doubt for the visit of Reading after he missed Saturday's FA Cup win over Hartlepool with a back injury.
Defender Jake Buxton is available in the league for the first time this season after successfully negotiating 90 minutes of cup action on his return from surgery.
New striker signings Abdoul Camara and Nick Blackman could make their home bows after debuting at the weekend.
Goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell impressed against his home-town club at the weekend but he is likely to be replaced by regular number one Lee Grant.
Reading have injury doubts over Paul McShane and Michael Hector.
Skipper McShane was missing from the side which drew 2-2 at Huddersfield in the FA Cup on Saturday due to a calf strain.
Fellow defender Hector was due to return to the squad against the Terriers following suspension, but he sat out after failing to shake off a knock.
Forward Lucas Piazon is pushing for a place in the starting line-up after an impressive 25-minute cameo as a substitute at the weekend.
