Hellas Verona 0 - 1 Palermo: Franco Vazquez earns Palermo victory

Franco Vazquez fired Palermo to a 1-0 victory at Hellas Verona and thus further away from the relegation zone.
Veteran goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino denied winless Hellas an 19th-minute opener when he leapt across his goalmouth to repel Giampaolo Pazzini's bullet header.
Eight minutes later Vazquez unlocked a tight game at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi with a right-footed drive past Pierluigi Gollini after controlling Mato Jajalo's cross-cum-shot from 35 yards.
After responding to back-to-back defeats with a valuable win, Palermo are now six points clear of the drop zone. Verona are rock bottom with only eight points from 19 games.
