Arsenal are weighing up a shock move for Troy Deeney
Arsene Wenger has already revealed he intends to be active in the transfer window.
The Gunners, who are chasing their first Premier League title in 12 years, are already close to wrapping up a £7.3million deal for Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
A striker however wasn’t initially thought to be on the Gunners' agenda.
But according to the Daily Star, Wenger could make a shock move for Watford forward Deeney.
The report suggests Wenger is a big fan of the 27-year-old, who has scored six goals in his last 11 Premier League outings.

It is thought that while Wenger is aware Watford won’t want to part company with Deeney, he might try his luck with a £20million bid.
Deeney only signed a new five-year deal in the summer.
