Real Madrid attacking midfielder James Rodriguez was lucky to escape arrest after being involved in a police chase on his way to first-team training on Friday.
The Colombia international was reportedly late for training and, as such, was clocked doing 125mph in his Audi R8, according to reports in the Spanish press.
Rodriguez was said to have ignored the police sirens behind him as led them on six-kilometre chase that lasted roughly 15 minutes.
He made it all the way to Real's Valdebebas training complex, where the police were initially barred from entering.
The police officers were later granted access to the training ground, but did not leave with Rodriguez in tow.
James argued that he was 'listening to loud music', meaning he did not hear the police sirens as he raced towards the club's training base.
However, polices sources say could still charge the midfielder with a "serious breach of disobedience".
