Posted Sunday, January 03, 2016 by PA

Jason Cummings converted a second-half penalty as Hibs returned to winning ways in the Scottish Championship by beating 10-man Raith 1-0 at Easter Road.

After defeat at Rangers on Monday, Cummings nudged Hibs in front five minutes after the break from the spot - his 16th goal of the season.

Kyle Benedictus was cautioned after bringing down Cummings, who saw his effort saved by Raith keeper Kevin Cuthbert before bundling in the rebound.

Raith, who lost for the first time in five matches, finished the game with 10 men after substitute Grant Anderson saw red for a second caution in injury-time with Hibs maintaining their unbeaten home league record.
