Alloa Athletic vs Falkirk - Alloa sweating over Jason Marr, Graeme Holmes and Michael Chopra

Jason Marr, Graeme Holmes and Michael Chopra are doubts for Alloa ahead of in-form Falkirk's visit.

The trio are struggling for the Indodrill Stadium encounter, while recently-appointed manager Jack Ross is keen to add a defender on loan from a Premiership club before kick-off.

The rock-bottom Wasps have not played for a fortnight due to their game with Raith Rovers being postponed, but Ross has used that time wisely.

"It is always better to play, however we got in an extra training session to get more of my ideas across," the Alloa boss said.

"We needed that ahead of facing a Falkirk side that have done incredibly well this season."

Falkirk, who have climbed into second place in the table, are again without the Kieran Duffie and Tom Taiwo through knee injuries, while Bob McHugh is absent with a hamstring problem.

The Bairns defeated Livingston 2-0 on Tuesday night to separate Rangers and Hibs at the top.

"It was a good win but I was disappointed with our first-half performance as it was quiet and full of wrong decisions," Falkirk manager Peter Houston said.

"We needed to up our game and when we did that we got on top. However, we cannot start like that against Alloa as they will be out to end our good run."
