Albion Rovers vs Airdrie - Andrew Barrowman faces late fitness test for Albion

Albion Rovers will give striker Andrew Barrowman a fitness test ahead of the visit of Lanarkshire neighbours Airdrie to Cliftonhill in Ladbrokes League One action.

The Coatbridge side were frustrated witht last Saturday's game with Cowdenbeath being postponed and player-manager Darren Young said: "We have stayed in a play-off place despite losing that game and one earlier in the month against Stranraer. I would much rather that we are playing and building momentum.

"We can hopefully get going again against Airdrie and get the win that will consolidate us in the top four.

"It will not be easy as they will be keen to win under their new manager for the first time."

New Airdrie manager Eddie Wolecki Black will have Neil Parry available in goal as the appeal against his sending off against Peterhead last weekend is not being heard until next week.

The Diamonds boss could however be short of striking options as Jim Lister, David Cox and Taylor Morgan are injury doubts as Airdrie look to bounce back from last-minute defeats from Peterhead and then Stenhousemuir.

Wolecki Black said: "We did not deserve to lose either game but we will look to put that right against Albion. They have been strong at home all season. However, if we play like we can then we can win."
