Bolton vs Huddersfield - Shola Ameobi and Emile Heskey doubtful for Bolton

Veteran strike duo Shola Ameobi and Emile Heskey are still doubtful for Bolton's Sky Bet Championship clash with Huddersfield at the Macron Stadium.

The pair missed Monday's 1-0 win over Blackburn with respective groin and hamstring issues, with Heskey the most likely of the two to come back into the reckoning for the Terriers' visit.

Neil Lennon should have a similar squad to work from after Wanderers recorded just their second victory of the entire campaign, with Wellington Silva (hamstring) among the substitutes that day.

Forward Max Clayton (hamstring) is the club's only long-term absentee.

Huddersfield head coach David Wagner has no new injury or suspension worries as his side bid to make it three games unbeaten.

Striker Ishmael Miller is struggling with a lower back injury that has forced him to miss the last two matches and midfielder Dean Whitehead (knee) remains sidelined.

Philip Billing is closing in on a return to action after being included in the squad as an unused substitute in Monday's draw at QPR for the first time since sustaining an ankle injury in the home defeat to Leeds in early November.

Forwards Sean Scannell and Joe Lolley, plus defenders Joel Lynch and Ben Chilwell, on loan from Leicester, are pushing for recalls.
