Preston North End vs Rotherham United - Adam Reach blow for Preston against Rotherham
Posted Thursday, December 31, 2015 by PA
Preston look set to be without Adam Reach against Rotherham.
Winger Reach returned to Middlesbrough at the end of his loan spell this week, although Simon Grayson is hopeful of bringing him back for another spell at Deepdale.
North End may lose goalkeeper Jordan Pickford too if Sunderland elect to recall him from his season-long spell on January 2, meaning Chris Kirkland would be in line to step in between the sticks.
Paul Huntington and Alan Browne (both hamstring) could bolster Grayson's numbers, though, while Chris Humphrey (shin), Jermaine Beckford and Stevie May (both knee) are all long-term absentees.
Rotherham hope to have Stephen Kelly back from a calf injury.
Kelly has missed the last two games after suffering a relapse of the problem against Hull on December 19 and his return could be timely after Frazer Richardson was taken off in Tuesday's 4-1 defeat to Fulham with a head injury.
Fellow right-back Lewis Buxton will continue to play no part as he is involved in a contract dispute where it is understood that if he plays again he will trigger a new deal.
Leon Best (groin) will play no part but the Millers have Richard Wood back in their ranks after he was recalled form his loan spell at Chesterfield.
