Falkirk vs Livingston - Falkirk missing trio for Livingston visit

Posted Monday, December 28, 2015 by PA

Falkirk will again be without injured trio Kieran Duffie (knee), Tom Taiwo (knee) and Bob McHugh (hamstring) when they host Livingston.

The Bairns head into the game on a high after their 1-0 win over Dumbarton that put pressure on the teams above and below them.

Manager Peter Houston said: "We are still in touch with Rangers and Hibs at the top but we moved further away from Raith Rovers, Morton and Queen of the South in the play-off chase.

"We did well against Dumbarton as they sat in very tightly against us and we need to play well again as Livingston won well on Saturday."

Livingston picked up a 4-1 success over St Mirren under the guidance of interim manager David Hopkin and he is again without Craig Sives, who has a back problem, and Darren Cole (knee).

Hopkin has included 16-year-old Matthew Knox in his squad for a second time after he created history in Paisley by becoming the club's youngest player when he made a substitute appearance.

Hopkin said: "Falkirk are on a very good run at the moment so this will be a very tough game.

"All I can ask the players to do is to do the same as Saturday."
