Izale McLeod struck either side of half-time to as Notts County came from two goals behind to claim a 2-2 draw with Morecambe at Meadow Lane.

The hosts had fallen behind after just eight minutes when Shaun Miller raced on to Jamie Devitt's pass to slot beyond goalkeeper Roy Carroll.

Magpies chairman Ray Trew, watching on his 61st birthday, then saw Ricardo Moniz's team fall further behind when Miller was tripped by Thierry Audel.

Carroll saved the striker's penalty, but Kevin Ellison was alert enough to seize the rebound to make it 2-0 to the visitors.

However, McLeod pulled one back right before half-time when he converted Graham Burke's low cross at the back post.

And the summer signing from Crawley, who cost in excess of B#100,000, levelled things up shortly after the hour mark when he latched onto Audel's flick to fire home.

The home side tried desperately to summon a late winner but they could not muster a third goal, which have secured them a third straight win on home soil.
