In-form Wycombe could remain unchanged for Crawley clash

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth will look to complete a hat-trick of Sky Bet League 2 victories inside 10 days when Crawley head to Adams Park.

Second-half goals from Garry Thompson and Paul Hayes secured a 2-0 win at Luton on Boxing Day, a week after a 2-1 home success over Oxford, leaving the Chairboys firmly in the promotion hunt approaching the halfway stage.

Ainsworth fielded an unchanged team at Luton, although he may be tempted to make changes with Saturday's home clash with Morecambe to come ahead of the FA Cup third-round tie against Barclays Premier League outfit Aston Villa.

Wycombe head into the Crawley game in good form having lost just once in 11 outings in all competitions, a run which includes six wins.

Reds manager Mark Yates freely admitted his side were far from their best even in victory as they saw off Stevenage 2-1 on Saturday.

It took a late strike by substitute Roarie Deacon to clinch the points after Michael Tonge had cancelled out Gwion Edwards' opener from the penalty spot.

Yates made three changes to the side which had lost 4-2 at Barnet a week earlier with keeper Callum Preston, defender Jon Ashton and striker Shamir Fenelon coming in, although Deacon will hope his heroics caught the manager's eye.

Crawley have endured mixed fortunes in recent weeks, winning three of their last six league games, but losing each of the other three, and currently sit in 12th place, six points outside the play-off spots.
