Crewe Alexandra vs Shrewsbury Town - Steve Davis may make changes for clash with Shrewsbury

Crewe boss Steve Davis could make changes for the visit of Shrewsbury.

The Alex had Boxing Day off after their game at Rochdale was postponed so Davis' players will be fresher than most as they look for a third win in five league matches.

Adam King will hope for a recall after being benched in favour of the fit-again David Fox against Fleetwood last time out.

Fellow midfielder Brad Inman is also pushing for a start after two substitute appearances since recovering from a groin injury.

Shrewsbury defender Junior Brown is a doubt after sustaining a groin injury on Boxing Day.

Brown will be assessed but it is likely that he will miss out and Mat Sadler will be recalled for his first start in over a month.

The likes of Liam Lawrence, Shaun Whalley, Tyrone Barnett and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro are also hoping for an opportunity to return to the starting line up.

Larnell Cole has picked up and injury while on-loan Crystal Palace forward Sullay Kaikai has been recalled by his parent club, leaving Micky Mellon's men with a shortage of pace in the team.
