Oldham Athletic AFC vs Doncaster Rovers - Oldham without trio of players for visit of Doncaster
Posted Sunday, December 27, 2015 by PA
Oldham will be without Richie Wellens, Michael Higdon and Jay Fulton against Doncaster.
Wellens is unable to play against his parent club, while Sheffield United striker Higdon and Swansea midfielder Fulton have both returned at the end of their respective loan deals.
However, Latics do have Rhys Murphy back in the fold following his return from a spell at Crawley, where he scored nine times in 16 games, and boss David Dunn may be tempted to give him a spot in his squad.
Jonathan Forte is back in training but the club will remain cautious following a long-term knee-injury lay-off.
Doncaster expect to select from a similar squad to the one that was beaten by Scunthorpe on Boxing Day.
After the game Cameron Stewart needed ice on a back problem that has been causing him issues in recent weeks, yet it did not cause him any discomfort when he came on as a substitute.
Harry Middleton and Paul Keegan both only played 45 minutes each so could be fresher than some of Rovers' other players.
Harry Forrester missed out on Saturday due to illness while Felipe Mattioni (foot), Gary MacKenzie (ankle) and Curtis Main (back) were all sidelined too.
