Walsall vs Peterborough United - Walsall duo Tom Bradshaw and Rico Henry pushing for recalls against Peterborough

Walsall boss Sean O'Driscoll is hoping Tom Bradshaw and Rico Henry can prove their fitness in time for the visit of Peterborough.

Striker Bradshaw, who has missed the last four games, and left-back Henry, sidelined for three matches, have both been nursing ankle injuries and had hoped to return to contention for the Boxing Day win at Millwall.

The Saddlers have won O'Driscoll's first two games in charge and climbed to the top of the table thanks to Milan Lalkovic's solitary goal at Millwall.

O'Driscoll has no other major injury concerns, while teenage midfielder Liam Kinsella and forward Jordan Cook are among those pushing for recalls.

Peterborough's new signing Jordan Nicholson is hoping to make his first appearance for the club.

Striker Nicholson, signed earlier this week from Histon, was an unused substitute in the home win against Chesterfield on Boxing Day.

Marcus Maddison appears to have solved boss Graham Westley's left-back problem - both Callum Elder and Kgosi Ntlhe remain sidelined through injury - by turning in a man-of-the-match display on Boxing Day.

Defenders Gabriel Zakuani (foot) and Shaun Brisley (knee) are doubtful while midfielder Jermaine Anderson and striker Joe Gormley (both knee) remain long-term absentees.
