Coventry vs Port Vale: Ben Turner missing for Coventry
Posted Thursday, December 24, 2015 by PA
Coventry will have to do without Ben Turner when they welcome Port Vale on Boxing Day.
The defender has returned to Cardiff and may need an operation after limping off with an ankle problem in the 1-1 draw with Oldham on Saturday.
He was initially brought in to fill the gap left by skipper Reda Johnson, who is out for the season with a serious hamstring problem.
Sam Ricketts is back from a ban and John Fleck has returned to training following a hamstring injury but Jordan Willis is out with a knee issue.
Port Vale forward Louis Dodds is set to miss the trip to the Ricoh Arena with a hamstring injury.
Dodds pulled the muscle in last weekend's defeat at Walsall but manager Rob Page does have other options in Uche Ikpeazu, JJ Hooper and Sam Foley.
Page has no other fitness concerns with Byron Moore having come through his comeback game against the Saddlers with no reaction to his recent hamstring problem.
Midfielder Anthony Grant has been ill in the past week but should be fit enough to feature.
