Shrewsbury Town vs Fleetwood Town - Sullay Kaikai could make Shrewsbury's clash with Fleetwood

Shrewsbury loanee Sullay Kaikai could face Fleetwood despite coming off against Swindon with a hamstring injury.

The Crystal Palace winger has a chance of playing according to boss Micky Mellon even though he limped off in the defeat last weekend, but midfielder James Wesolowski is out for the season with a serious knee injury.

Mellon spent four years at Fleetwood and guided them to the Football League for the first time in their history in 2012.

"There's obviously a huge connection between myself and Fleetwood," he told the club's official site. "We're looking forward to the game, it's not about me. It's about me getting this group of players ready again and working on things that we've got to get better at."

Fleetwood boss Steven Pressley has vowed to make changes ahead of the busy festive period.

Pressley may feel particularly keen to reshuffle his strikers after watching in frustration as they spurned a glut of chances in a 1-1 draw against Crewe.

The Scot has reported no fresh injury concerns for his side's Boxing Day trip.

Danny Andrew is still struggling with a thigh injury while Vamara Sanogo remains on the sidelines with a hamstring strain.
