Hull City vs Burnley - Adama Diomande could oust Chuba Akpom in Hull line-up

Hull boss Steve Bruce has a big decision to make ahead of his side's Championship clash with Burnley at the KC Stadium.

Bruce must decide whether to hand new signing Adama Diomande his first start for the club after leaving him on the bench for last weekend's damaging defeat at Rotherham.

Chuba Akpom has come in for criticism over some of his recent performances and could make way for Diomande as Bruce shuffles his pack.

Abel Hernandez will retain his place in attack while Mohamed Diame and Tom Huddlestone are among those pressing to start.

Matt Lowton and Dean Marney will hope to keep their spots in Burnley's team.

Right-back Lowton, acquired from Aston Villa in the summer, made his first start of the season in the win over Charlton, where the Clarets kept a clean sheet in a 4-0 success.

Marney was preferred to David Jones in the centre of midfield alongside Joey Barton and he completed 90 minutes unscathed following his long-term knee injury, but with two games in three days, Sean Dyche may rotate his options.

Ashley Barnes is making good progress in his return from a knee injury and should feature at some point this season but Lukas Jutkiewicz, who also tore his cruciate ligament, may have to wait until next term.
