Chelsea fullback Branislav Ivanovic is delighted with the decision to bring in Guus Hiddink to replace Jose Mourinho as the club's manager.
Hiddink was appointed as manager on an interim basis until the end of the season after last week's announcement that Mourinho had been removed from the position.
"I worked with him here before -- he was the one who gave me a proper chance in this club," Ivanovic told Chelsea's official website.
This is Hiddink's second spell with the club after he won the FA Cup with the Blues in 2009.
However, things could not be more different this time around as the current Premier League champions are 15th in the table and have already lost 9 of their 17 matches this season.
"I know how good his work was the first time he was here and I am grateful to him for that moment, but it was a long time ago.
"Now is a new challenge, a completely different situation. I know he's one of the most experienced managers in the world. He has worked and been successful in a lot of countries.
"I think his first aim is to stabilise us, to give everything to the team so we can play like we did against Sunderland. We have to get back into the habit of winning as quickly as possible."
