Marotta: No need to repair anything
Juventus director Beppe Marotta has ruled out the possibility of signing Ezequiel Lavezzi, Ilkay Gundogan or Ever Banega in the January transfer window.

The Old Lady have been linked with a whole host of players in recent times, with the aforementioned trio said to be on their January wishlist.

The Bianconeri have not been at their best this term, following a number of high-profile departures at the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

However, Marotta has moved to dampen talk of potential new arrivals at the turn of the year, saying there is no need to bolster the squad.

"The January transfer window is one for reparation and we do not need to repair anything," said Marotta.

"In January the moves are not always advantageous for clubs, even if we remain vigilant for any interesting opportunities.

"Gundogan and Banega? I can rule out a move for them and the same goes for Lavezzi."

Juventus moved up to second place in the Serie A standings on Saturday after recording a 3-2 victory over Carpi at Stadio Alberto Braglia.

Their next test comes in the shape of Hellas Verona at the Juventus Stadium on 6 January.
