Leeds United vs Preston North End - Tom Adeyemi battling illness to make Leeds return
Posted Friday, December 18, 2015 by PA
Leeds midfielder Tom Adeyemi is hoping to shake off illness in time for Sunday's home game against Preston.
Adeyemi was withdrawn in the first half during Thursday night's 3-2 win at Wolves and will be assessed.
Head coach Steve Evans has no other new injury or suspension problems and is expected to select his side from an unchanged squad.
Forward Souleymane Doukara is pushing for a start after impressing at Molineux, while defender Sol Bamba and Alex Mowatt are also in contention.
Preston will definitely be without Chris Humphrey after receiving bad news on his shin injury.
A stress fracture the club had hoped would heal with rest now requires surgery that will end his season.
Stevie May (knee) had already been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign while Jermaine Beckford (knee) has only just started back working on the treadmill and will miss this trip to his old club.
Simon Grayson has named an unchanged line-up for four successive fixtures and his side are unbeaten in that span so Bailey Wright may have to make do with a place on the bench once more.
