Exeter City 2 - 3 Luton Town: Luton leave it late to snatch victory at Exeter

Luton responded to the sacking of manager John Still with a dramatic 3-2 win at Exeter in which Paul Benson bagged the winner 10 minutes into stoppage time.

The Hatters were 2-0 up at the break, but it was harsh on Exeter who had completely dominated the first 45 minutes.

Craig Woodman's foul on Sean Long allowed Cameron McGeehan to score from the penalty spot and Long then crossed for Danny Green to scramble the ball in at the back post for the second.

Exeter were always a threat, though, and Tom Nichols' stunning free-kick made it 2-1 after a brilliant run by Ollie Watkins was ended by Scott Cuthbert 25 yards from goal.

Alex Nicholls then levelled it up with a bullet header from Lee Holmes' outswinging corner and Clinton Morrison shot straight at goalkeeper Mark Tyler with a great chance to win it for Exeter in the first of 10 minutes of stoppage time.

But in the last of those, another error by Woodman allowed Long to cross and Benson poked the ball past Bobby Olejnik with Exeter incensed, feeling the ball was already in the goalkeeper's hands.
