Brechin City vs Stranraer - Player-boss Dods back for Brechin

Darren Dods is back in contention for a starting place as Brechin prepare to host Stranraer.

The City player/manager is fully fit again after shaking off the illness that saw him sit out the 1-1 draw with Peterhead last weekend.

Elsewhere, Ross Perry is out with a knee injury but Gary Fusco should be available after a slight knock.

Dods said: "We know that a win in this game would lift us off bottom spot. We have had two chances to do so before and not taken them so hopefully we can get it right on the third time.

"It would be a nice early Christmas present to play well, win and be off the bottom."

Stranraer have captain Stevie Bell available again a ban and David Barron is added to the travelling squad after illness.

However, Lee Mair (groin), Chris Aitken (calf) and Andy Stirling (foot) are out with Scott Robertson, Paul Cairney and Peter McGill doubtful.

"I would imagine that Brechin will come out all guns blazing as no-one wants to be bottom at Christmas time," said Stranraer manager Brian Reid.

"However, we have gone to Peterhead and drawn and won on our travels at Forfar and Airdrie so we can be confident.

"We lost bad goals when we lost to Airdrie last weekend and if we cut that out of our game then we have a good chance."
