Chesterfield vs Bradford AFC - Chesterfield captain Sam Morsy banned for Bradford clash

Chesterfield captain Sam Morsy is suspended for the visit of Bradford.

Morsy received his 10th yellow card of the season during the FA Cup defeat at Walsall so he must serve an automatic two-match ban.

Caretaker boss Mark Smith has some "tired legs" in his squad after 120 minutes at penalties against the Saddlers but no new injury problems.

Smith is likely to make a few changes and has the likes of Sam Hird, Dion Donohue, Gboly Ariyibi, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Rai Simons to call on as he looks to steer the Spireites to a first win in eight games.

Bradford's scheduled home game against Southend last week was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and boss Phil Parkinson has no new injury or suspension issues.

Parkinson must decide whether to recall James Meredith or stick with Greg Leigh at left-back, while midfielder Gary Liddle is among those pushing for a recall.

Striker Jordon Bowery, on loan from Rotherham, is hoping to feature against one of his former clubs after being left out of the squad for the recent FA Cup win against Chesham.

Midfielder Josh Morris remains sidelined until the new year after suffering a recurrence of a knee injury while playing for the reserves earlier this month.
