Barcelona's 23-man squad arrived in Tokyo on Monday, ahead of this week's FIFA Club World Cup, the 12th edition of the tournament and the 7th hosted by Japan.
Qualifying as winners of last season's UEFA Champions League, Barcelona will be looking to add to their two previous Club World Cup titles.
Barcelona automatically qualify for Wednesday's semi-final, where they will face Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande. Evergrande knocked out Mexican side Club America in the previous round.
The other two sides remaining in the competition are Argentina's River Plate and Japan's Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
The Spanish side have taken a full-strength squad to Japan, which includes their deadly front-three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar. The trio have scored more than 125 goals between them for Barcelona in 2015.
Barcelona come into the tournament on the back of three consecutive draws, the most recent of which was a 2-2 home draw against Deportivo.
The result follows away draws at Valencia in La Liga and Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League. Despite their recent blip, the Catalan club still occupy top spot in the La Liga standings, level on points with second-placed Atletico Madrid and five clear of third-placed Real Madrid.
