Hartlepool United FC vs Salford City - Hartlepool's Michael Woods in contention to face Salford

Kal Naismith remains absent for Hartlepool's FA Cup second-round replay with Salford but Michael Woods could return.

Naismith, on loan from Portsmouth, was ineligible to face his parent club at the weekend and was cup-tied for the first meeting in the original clash with non-league Salford.

Striker Billy Paynter (Achilles) and defender Harry Worley (ankle) are still missing from Ronnie Moore's squad.

Woods (thigh) was an unused substitute at the weekend but could feature after a heavy reverse to Pompey.

Salford have not played a game since they held Pools to a 1-1 draw first time around.

Their clash with Whitby Town was postponed at the weekend due to the weather so striker Gareth Seddon has had extra time to recover from the knee problem that ruled him out of the original clash.

Tom Peers will not feature, though, after his loan deal from Chester expired and he joined Hednesford Town last week.

The winner of the clash in the north east will then host Derby in the third round.
