Ronaldo suffering worst ever La Liga start at Real Madrid

The Portugal international was unable to find the net once again in the league as Real Madrid slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Villarreal on Sunday

It was another frustrating evening for Cristiano Ronaldo as Real Madrid slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Villarreal on Sunday.

Rafa Benitez's men were unable to capitalise on Barcelona's draw against Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday and have now been left five points behind the Spanish champions.

As for Ronaldo, his La Liga struggles continued as he failed to follow up his four-goal haul against Malmo in the Champions League last week.

Is it a European hangover? Ronaldo has not scored more than one goal in the game that has followed a Champions League fixture this season, while he is currently suffering his worst La Liga start since he joined in 2009...
