Troyes winless start to the season stretched to 18 games as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Bastia.
Given the hosts' poor from, there was little surprise when Bastia took the lead midway through the first half after Floyd Ayite picked out Seko Fofana inside the area to confidently finish.
Troyes were undeterred, though, and clawed their way back into the game when Jimmy Cabot struck with a stunning volley from Fabien Camus' corner.
And the hosts almost stole the points late on when Ayite put the ball on his own post from Chaouki Ben Saada's free-kick before Fofana hacked off the line from Matthieu Saunier's follow up.
