Brechin City 1 - 1 Peterhead: Substitute Robert Thomson rescues Brechin
Posted Sunday, December 13, 2015 by PA
Bottom club Brechin ended a run of three straight defeats after substitute Robert Thomson earned them a 1-1 draw at home to Peterhead.
Peterhead looked on course to extend their unbeaten run to five when Leighton McIntosh fired them into a seventh-minute lead.
The League One player of the month saw his right-footed effort from the right find the net and Peterhead were able to control the match as full-time approached.
However, in the 80th minute, Thomson, who had only been on the pitch for three minutes, was set up by Isaac Layne for the equaliser as his shot from the centre found its way in.
