Real Madrid goal-machine Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed a desire to work with Carlo Ancelotti once again after admitting he misses his former manager.
The Portugal international enjoyed a fruitful spell under Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu, winning the Pichichi after scoring 31 La Liga goals in the 2013/14 season and clinching a record 10th Champions League title for Los Blancos.
However, the Italian coach was sacked by Real in May after failing to deliver any silverware the following campaign, with Rafael Benitez appointed his successor.
Ancelotti, who is currently without a job after deciding to take a year-long sabbatical, and Ronaldo have been linked with Manchester United recently, with the latter revealing a fondness for the 56-year-old and saying he would welcome a reunion.
"Mr. Ancelotti was an unbelievable surprise. In the beginning I thought he was more a tough person, more... kind of arrogant, and it was the opposite," the 30-year-old forward told ESPN.
"He's like a big bear, I can say. He's a cute guy, such a sensitive person. He spoke with us every day. Not just with me but with all the players. He had fun with us.
"He's an unbelievable person. I just wish every player could have an opportunity to work with him because he's a fantastic guy, a fantastic coach and I miss him a lot because we won many trophies together.
"And I wish to work with him one day again. But now I'm good. I have a new coach and I'm happy too, but it's great I have good memories."
