Gillingham vs Burton Albion FC - Rory Donnelly set for Gillingham return
Posted Friday, December 11, 2015 by PA
Gillingham can welcome back striker Rory Donnelly when they host leaders Burton.
Donnelly, who has scored six goals this season, missed the 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury last time out through suspension after collecting five bookings.
Boss Justin Edinburgh may therefore have a selection dilemma after Cody McDonald replaced Donnelly up front and scored the opening goal.
Dominic Samuel is also available in attack after the young forward extended his loan spell from Reading until January.
Nigel Clough is unlikely to make too many changes for his first game back as Burton boss.
Clough, in charge of the Brewers for over a decade before leaving for Derby in January 2009, has inherited a squad that is top of League One and has won its last three matches.
It may be an unchanged starting line-up in Kent but Clough does have some injury issues, with Shane Cansdell-Sherriff still nursing a groin problem and fellow defender Darius Charles now out until January after suffering a hamstring strain in training this week.
On-loan Wolves winger Zeli Ismail (ankle) and defenders George Taft and Kelvin Maynard (both knee) remain out.
