Queen of South vs Raith Rovers - Heffernan worry for Queen of the South

Queen of the South striker Paul Heffernan is a doubt for the visit of Raith after sustaining a hamstring injury and he could join the already injured Shaun Rutherford (ankle), Calum Tapping (knee) and Dale Hilson (foot) in missing out.

Manager James Fowler is looking for a quick return to form from his men as he explained: "We have not played for nearly three weeks but it would be great if we started where we left off against Falkirk.

"We battled back for a draw in that game with some of our best football of the season and I want the same in this game."

Raith include the fit-again Lewis Toshney, Kyle Benedictus and Grant Anderson but Jason Thomson (back), Craig Barr (groin) and Lewis Vaughan (knee) all remain sidelined and Mitch Megginson is an injury doubt.

Manager Ray McKinnon is looking for his side to end a five-game winless run that saw them slip out of the top four.

He said: "It would be good to get winning again after a run where we never got what we deserved.

"Queen of the South are beneath us and it would be terrific to keep things that way and collect the three points that put us back in the promotion pack."
