Fellaini says 'character' will be key

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini  believes that mental strength will be the most important factor in their hunt for a victory in Germany on Tuesday.

United face Wolfsburg in their final match in Group B of the Champions League, and must win to qualify for the second round.

Louis van Gaal's side are currently struggling for form and played out to a goalless draw against West Ham on Saturday, in what was their fourth draw in six Premier League matches.

However, Fellaini is confident the Red Devils can end the goal-drought at the Volkswagen Arena.

"In the Premier League every game is different, every three points is important because at the end of the season you can win the league," he told Goal.

"But against Wolfsburg it's a massive game because it's qualification for the next round. We have the mentality and the character to come back, the spirit, which I think is the most important.

"So we will see, but I think it will be a massive game. We have already played against them. But we know it will be a different game because they are playing at home."

United came from a goal down to beat Wolfsburg 2-1 in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford in September.
