Real Sociedad 2 - 1 Eibar: Imanol Agirretxe double downs Eibar

A last-gasp goal from Imanol Agirretxe saw Real Sociedad beat Eibar 2-1 in a thrilling Basque derby at Anoeta.

Borja Baston had given the visitors a dream start but Agirretxe quickly cancelled out the youngster's goal and struck again in the 89th minute to grab all three points.

Eusebio Sacristan's side move onto 15 points after a second consecutive home win and climb up to 13th in the Primera Division table, while Eibar drop down to ninth.

The visitors capitalised on a strong start by taking the lead in the fourth minute, Baston arriving at the near post to turn Sergi Enrich's cross into the net.

But it was not long before the hosts were level. Sergio Canales' cross was not properly cleared, allowing Agirretxe to pounce on the loose ball and score his ninth league goal of the season.

As ever, the Basque striker was La Real's main presence in attack but he squandered a glorious chance to put his side ahead early in the second half, scuffing a low cross from Carlos Vela from six yards out and missing the target.

But the veteran made amends as injury time approached, knocking Bruma's square pass into the net.
